The cold never bothered me anyway
When Elsa of Arendelle was a little girl, she discovered she had the power to create ice and snow. When an accident almost killed her little sister, her family had her sister's memory of the magic wiped and Elsa was locked away. On the day Elsa was crowned queen, she lost control and triggered an eternal winter. Only with the help of her sister was she able to save her people.
Modern AU: The eldest daughter of a wealthy family, Elsa was raised by a series of nannies. Unlike her younger sister, she grew up cold and aloof, earning the nickname "The Ice Queen".
